    Borumba's on Fire

    Hey all

Headed to Borumba Dam on the weekend for a bit of r&r as it was the first time me and my lady have had without kids for four years so we diddn't do the early rise thing, or the stay out late thing just a couple of hours sessions here and there. The firs session was with my mate who had never fished Borumba before and wanted to see the dam before he takled it himself so we headed straight for my spots I know and started the talley, with in half and hour we began to loose count, all the fish where small arond 30 cm with a few around 36 to 38 cm it was great fun double hook up's it was pure mayhem.

The second was with my lady and it started and ended much the same fish everywhere a couple of nicer ones too, we diddn't get up early we hit the dam around 9:30 am and 2:30pm so not really the choice times but it worked anyway two thumbs up for Borumba Bass

Day's like those come along from time to time and it makes fresh water fishing so addictive with the surroundings its simply sensational

    Cheers TT

Wonderful photos TT and what a great way to relax. Top effort. It is certainly one of the more picturesque impoundments in the south-east

scoocer101, bob dosn't even know his own name, or if there is a deer park in the area, either he was having a bad day or hes getting old, but a elderly lady asked if his name was bob and he was rude to her by answering maybe, then when told that they were staying at the deer park he said which deer park, either a rude fool or just trying to un- funny >? ???? THERE'S ALWAYS ONE. I think she just walked away.

We stayed at the deer park for the first time and they allow dogs . Yes it is the start of the sticks there are heaps of fish in there!

I diddn't really target the toga was having far to much fun on the Bass, but there were the occasional splash or swirl around the sticks. Knowing the dam at this time of year early starts and late afternoon is the key, not really what we did.

    Re: Borumba's on Fire

    Hey TT
Thats not like bob to get angry at visitors . He might still be angry, because on the september holidays my dad, sis and i stayed at borumba dam for 2 weeks and there were vandalls knocking off petrol tanks, gas bottles and stuff. The vandalls also were tipping over bins and smashing bottles at the picnic area at the dam.
Bob has never been angry when we arrive because bob and dawn are our friends and there a very nice couple.

Agreed as I said maybe having a bad day. I have met him prior and he seemed ok to me, just caught him on one of those day's. I just was shocked when he spoke to the lady like he did.
