    Lake Samsonvale 19 Oct.

Took a couple of mates to LS this morning, and decided for simplicity to just fish the waters around MacGavin View, near the wall.
Threw Spinnerbaits and Jackalls around for a total of 4 fish between us in 2 1/2 hours on the water.
I caught only one, a Yellowbelly on a Jackall TN60, and one of my mates got 2 bass and a nice fat Yellowbelly. Not bad for a bloke who arrived with no fishing gear. , and has hardly fished before.
It seems the TT spinnerbait in gold colour did most of the damage today, last week when I went the purple colour caught all the fish.
    Bass went 44cm,42cm, and the Yellowbelly's 50cm and 41cm.

    Hopefully the pics will show.

    Good work 'Tales.

Did you have to get their early early - like while it was still dark - or just earlyish? Been meaning to head out there one morning but not sure if I can handle the 4am stuff.

I have only fished there twice now, and both times was fishing around 5 - 5.30. I definately know that one of the peak fishing times for most fish is around dawn, so maybe that applies in this case. These days its actually light at around 4 45 am. I know for a fact that I won't be fishing during the heat of the day when summer arrives.

    Hi Troy,
No stinger hook at this stage. I have only ever purchased 2 of them, both TT Vortex, and have used them as is. It is something I will explore in the future, as well as maybe putting a blade behind the rear trebles of the Jackall lures.(as hardb8 has done with some of his)

    Thanks fellas

Might give it a go one arvo some time. I'm up at 5:30 but I'm usually holding a bottle of milk in one hand and a crying baby in the other
