    cania dam 28/10

had the chance to go up to this dam for the first time on the weekend, what a drive fron brissy six hours of thinking of how good the fishing was going to be,all the mates had fished the place and never had a bad day one had fished it for six years and it had been good every trip, you guessed it it shut down on saturday and fished really hard .we were fishing the final of the basstasstic comp and twenty odd boats were there and they all struggled, saturday arvo picked up and we got a few good fish on the dam end banks biggest going 445 to the tip of the tail.all fish took the bone jackall, went up the dam and hooked a good toga 750mm,sunday morning session went really well foggy head and all from toooo many bourbons, got 15 fish all size biggest 430mm, great weekend but a bit far for chasing bass ,next time the same distance driving will be taken up going to awoonga the fish in there are a fraction bigger. cheers AL

Yes boys it was hard but I didn't feel too bad driving home . Did I tell you I got a Cania grand slam, bass, toga, silver & yella, even threw in a spangle for good luck. also had 2 platypus or is that platypi swimming around the boat on Sun morning, wouldn't take a lure but I got them on video.
