    NW winds and barra

Went to monduran Today in search of the Barra, (as I caught the bug last week four fish between 70-90cm) with the strong NW winds blowing and with storms on the horizon, spent all day searching for something to show interest in our lures but no show....??? wondering if anyone else has caught in a strong NW wind ?????

Found good warm water way up the main river system near the tree with a H on it looks a great area too but maybe the Barra are not up that way at the moment????

I would have thought the fish would be biting their buts off with all the storms..... Main basin, sea anchor and flick at the wave washed corners would have been ya best bet....IMO

    Mate,
NW, SW, NE, SE, E, W, S, N, what ever, every time I plan a barra trip it blows, and as a bonus I bring the rain with me as well.
Story of my life is "You should have been here two days ago" or "Next week they will come on with the moon".
    Over it.
Just tell myself (as the wind blows the swag into the next site) there is no bad time to catch a barra, the best time to fish is the time youre there, wont catch a fish sitting around the camp b & m., make the most of your time etc etc etc.

    cheers
    Brian

As the other bloke in the boat last Wednesday two of the lures that we used were a classic pro 120+8 gold mullet/gold daz/red stripes and a predatek viper in pink and blue, the majority of the other lures had a black/gold pattern and I think they were all Tropic Angler lures.
