Hi guys,
Sorry I couldn't make it to give yas a hand. The Mrs had organised a surprise trip to Seaworld with the family. She thought it was gonna be just another fishin trip for me,And wasn't aware of the trouble that others had gone to,To organise this day.She even went to the trouble of booking me in for a swim with the fishes .
Congratulations to all Ausfishers involved,Especially Shayne.
Looks like it was a fun mornin with some nise fish caught aswell.
Not to mention making a great spot clean and safe for others to enjoy.
Although I had a great day....I'm sorry I missed it.
Luc, we were both pretty stuffed by the time we got to young's and decided to leave the fishing gear in the car, had a bit of a paddle up stream, then hit the road. The good news is, Shayne didn't fall out, and I reckon he was getting a bit more steady on the yak by the time we got back to the cars. You'll get there big fella.
More importantly than not falling out, I got to see how you turn a yak around without needing space the size of a football field. It was also good spotting some fish in skinny water, those kayaks are very, very sneaky.
I am pretty sure he got it on a spinner bait. saw him using a purple one not long before getting the toga.
I think to get on to a toga in north pine you have to put in the time. there isn't many in there.. Yet
get a popper out there around some surface action at dawn and dusk would be your best bet to get one I reckon. Will be trying this myself sometime next week...
They arn't worth keeping though, skinny and full of bones. better to go back for someone else to have fun with
