    could anyone help me with tips on catching redclaw, best time of year, what to look for,ect any tips would be appreciated

    well the last time i went to go get redclaw we used potatos for bait

    I used to do a fair bit of red clawing in Fairburn dam near Emerelad. We used to use dog biscuits for bait and if we had any old pilchards we would throw one in as well but you can use a whole variety of baits form meat to fruit and vegetables. We set our traps anywhere between 10 - 20 feet deep normally close to some structure like rocks or trees. Hope this helps.

    We use half boiled potatos as bait. Drop the pots in about 20ft of water is best and overnight.
