barra classic is over

i just fished in the aussie fishing park 5th annual barra classic at bli bli today and yesterday and had a ball. i got there at 6.00 am and waited till i got let in 7.00am paid the $75 then ran down to grab my speceal spot and started fishing 15 mins later "BOOOF" a nice fish inhailes my pellet (or berrys the locals call them) and zzzzzzzzzzzzz she shot off like a rocket 10 mins latter the 9 lb mono leader gives way to gill raks and sandpaper lips, BUMMER. 10 mins later BOOOF bang zzzzzzzz but this was much bigger, same thing again 10 mins latter SNAP > > (she was 100cm +) so i uped to a 22 lb leader and nothing for about an hour so i dubbeled the 9lb and first cast boof bbbrrrrrrzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 10 mins later, fish still on yes nother 5 mins, the fish is in the net yyyeeessss 81cm that fish won me the heaviest barra of the comp at 7.35kg. i got 15 barra over the 2 days (and lost 6) and placed 2nd in the total length im verry happy. my longest barra was 87cm all but one fish caught on pellets (1 on squidgy fish) i will be there next comp 4shore
