    northpine at night

Went chasing bass last night 6th using surface lures. Walked and cast between 6pm & 10pm. Action was very slow first two hrs with no strikes. Then 5 hits for 1 bass. One of the strikes was so loud, sounded like 10lb barra! Went weak at knees. Moral of the story, just keep casting....It certainly is a magic sound.

Nice work m8, I was watching the little bass feed at anaconda yesterday and amazed at the agility of these fish, the hit fast and turn 180 degrees instantly doing full speed back the way they came, which is why you get a sort of double hit sound, first is the lure getting hit and second is that big tail slapping the surface as he takes off, awesome stuff. Check out Wild River Bass DVD if you get a chance, well worth the $30 and you get a voucher to go in the draw for a $700 loomis/daiwa combo too.

    Well done,

I would be interested to know how the crankbaits or Sp's rolled slowly along the bottom would fare at NPD.
