Well I'd be happy with that result from a few days fishing! Well done.
Heading up for my fist go at Monduran in a couple of weeks. From the descriptions I've heard, it sounds a bit daunting, but I'm game.
wity that lure you found ,if you have a close look it looks like it has a few barra scuffs on it ,if thats the case stick some new trebles on it and throw ir back at em,i have done it a few times and it is amazing how these lures seam to attract the fish ,might be the action that other lures the same dont have.love to hear how it goes.
I recognise that Classic and if you found it about 25kms upstream, can you please stick some owners on it and post it back to me - I'll "PM" you my address
Did it have any leader still attached to it???? If the hook straightened, the fishermen shouldn't have lost the lure??? unless they got busted up and the fish straightened the treble after. I have seen Barra actually rub against a snag to try and dislodge a lure. I guess the hooks sometimes get caught on the snag and the fish tries to swim away and straightens the hook??? Only explanation that I could think of.
Great report Brian. I can't wait to get back up there for another crack at them. If the water levels keep dropping i might be putting the old prop in for this trip tho'.
Has anyone had any joy with soft plastics in monduran of late?? I ask because they are a bit easier for the missus to use but if not productive then we'll just stick to the harbodys.
