live in Sutho region, can't catch a thing. Advice!
G-day,
I live in the Sutherland Shire near Botany bay in NSW. I have tried fishing in the Georges river at Como and in the Port Hackin at Lilli Pilli & Garys Pt, but have not caught a thing.
I use either use prawn or worms as bait and I can only fish from the shore.
If anyone has any advice on wat im doin wrong or better spots please help me!!

Hey whitey hows the fishin been goin in the shire??
Been away on holiday since early dec so I couldnt help you out till now.
anyway, youll find that pepole arent as helpful if they know youre from Sydney or NSW so I try to keep my questions open ie not mention were Im from, but in your situation its hard because you need info for your area.
Its not that they wont help but I find theres this them and us thingy going on but the site still rocks for good fishin info!
I live ere in Sydney to and some of the places I fish and have a bit of luck are..
Under Tom Uglys bridge eithier side of the tide will do early morning best or dusk , try and use strip baits of fresh fish or prawns, I find here that you have to try diffrent types of bait pillys ,worms, pipis ,yabbies, strip baits , abalone guts,.
Brighton beach towards Dolls point any of the 8 groynes that stick out , youll find whiting , worms are best for this and there are flatties out there to so pillys are good stuff.
Maroubra beach is also good south end towards the rocks look for the rip that will take out your baits , again pillys yabbies worms prawns strip, burley up here it pays to.Good place for large bream and flattyies also the odd big fish is to be found here to.Dont fish off the rocks here as it is a ray nursery and out of bounds, magic point is were you will find it in the UBD, same rules apply early morning or dusk sometimes during the day when it s 22-24 dg water temp.
Kurnell to is agood place go off the groynes here to stay closer to the wharf or pier groynes look for the floating barge which is a fish haychery caught my biggest fltty here 65 cm 2.4 kg as there are octupus here to throw a jig or two around there two.
Hope this helps let us know how ya went.
