Can anyone help with some info on samson fish, i have read about them in fishing mags and the like but they give you limited information. If anyone has any websites that contains info on them i would really appreciate it

widen your search to include Amberjack pn - similar fish often confused, similar habits & locales.

Live slimies & yakkas the gun bait. Shallow reefs & coffee rocks off Moreton & Straddie. They can also be taken on the troll around signifigant structure eg Flat Rock

I was amazed one year to catch school AJ the size of chopper tailor off the beach at straddie - I never knew they schooled like that.
