Re: any tips for double island point
well scotty fishing the rocks at double is not that hard and can produce some good fish.firstly you park your 4x4 above the high tide mark. walk up a small goat hill at the base of rocks about 20m vere right walk down a small gully climb over a few rocks to the waters edge you will see remnance of some bait or fish scales there that rock is called 'old faithfull' and as its name suggests its fairly safe . i find the best time to fish it is at night and a dark moon wouldn't go a stray i use the old 650 stardrag alvey with 30 pound sometimes 40 fresh squid if you can get it or bonito fillets and dont forget live beach worms .take plenty of tackle as it can be very snagy also . i fish for jew mainly but get trevelley ,bream ,tailor ,jacks, you name it's been caught there. allways look at the waves for 20min before fishing if there geting wet all the time .go back and fish the beach .near the car youll be suprised belive me. and dont forget the xxxx there are plenty of other rocks to fish too but not for the beginer . anyway scotty hope this helps .good luck and be careful
cheers boomer
