    Crossing Currumbin - or Tallebudgeera?

    Hi Guys.

It's been a couple of months since we went outside and weather permitting will be looking at Palm Beach or Mermaid reefs on the weekend.

All summer I found that Tallebudgerra had more water under it for the bar crossing than did Currumbin. I had a look From burleigh this morning on low tide and the bar at Tally looked a little perpendicular - It might be a bit sus now.

Does anyone care to comment on the state of the bars atm? Heath? Spaniard? I see you guys use Currumbin most of the time and after my experience at Christmas, I found that Tally was preferable. I would be interested in your views. (My Rig is a V169 Sportsmancraft runabout)

    Oh yes - what's been biting! ???

    Cheers

    Steve,

Currumbin is crossable at all stages of the tide at the moment. You will have to run down the beach a fair way during low water. The tides on the weekend are perfect. In the morning head off towards Surfers from the groin at Currumbin. Plenty of water in the morning.

A few mackerel are still about on Palmy, some bigger spaniards & wahoo out a bit wider.
