Re: getting good barra?
When you are in a creek generally the inside bend on the creek is best. As for techniques. Even if it takes a while try and get some live herring or mullet, using a paternoster rig drop one or two(depends On size) Down next to a snag and hold on. If you are looking to lure, try ferrets, lucinda lures, eyecons, rmg's or soft baits and try the snags such as rock bars and timber.

Re: getting good barra?
Hi bloke I usually do what brett does also troll deep lures in deep holes at low tide that works well and across the mouths of feeder creeks coming into the main estuary.Six inch nilsmaster lures are good for this as well as the lures mentioned above a gold bomber is an asset to have in shallow areas as i have seen a 65 pounder caught in 4 foot of water in the Norman river in the Gulf.I hope this helps a little. Regards Nilsmaster

this might be an old wives tail, but from what i've heard if you want to catch the big barra use big mullet.
