luderick fishing at caloundra qld

guys i have just tried to catch luderick at the pick spot at caloundra and failed.i noticed no one was trying on the boardwalk which is a hotspot in fact no one was trying any where along that stretch.i tried all tides but the only explanation i can get is that it was the wrong moon.i was fishing on 13th and 14th august moon phase is new on 28th august.i believe..Please can someone tell me where i went wrong.i have caught them at caloundra in previous years but never took notice of moon phases..any help will be greatly appreciated ....

Mate-Even with the right tide and your Almanac, there's no guarantee. Weather's been a bit finicky too-could be that.

It doesn't mean you suck at fishing sometimes they're just not there-they bugger off or maybe they had their fill on a dead Shark or something...

People forget that fish get around in groups too so maybe there was an orgy involved...

Sometimes fish are too busy to eat. Simple explanation
