Bait
Took the kids fishing on the weekend and as it was a spur of the moment thing had to buy some bait. I was wondering whether anybody could supply some info on where to cast a net to get some bait or where to pump some yabbies in the Bundaberg or Woodgate areas.
Was thinking about taking the kids for a run to Woodgate this weekend so if anybody could suggest some spots to fish off the beach info would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Bait
If you're after yabbies at Woodgate, go to Theodelite Creek. The last time I was there you could dig them on the far bank about NNW of the carpark. For whiting, have a look at the beach at low tide, the beach is pretty flat then takes a bit of a rise then up to the high tide mark, you will also see the channels where the water runs down back to the water line. Make a mental note of where they are and fish them in the last few hours of the rising tide and then back out again. The other option is just to walk along the beach working the shore line. You'll cover a fair bit of territory and usually get a good feed.
Cheers, Clutter.
