fishing currumbin area
hey all, was wondering if anyone knows some reasonable spots to try in the currumbin area. heading there in a couple of weeks. probably aiming at flathead and the like using plastics.

anywhere around the mouth of the creek up to the boat ramp or even further up with the lack of rain or out around the bend to palm beach. Lots of sandbanks worth working - they are unfazed by the highway traffic & also lie surprising close to the rocks. You can get a lot of flatties in close on palm & currumbin beaches.
Its almost JACK TIME of year, & Currumbin creek with a live herring / prawn is a good place to be swattin' mossies when a rumblin' thundercloud is passing overhead late on a sweaty summer afternoon.

Don't worry aboy almost Jack time, it is Jack time. Have spied a few solid specimens around the bridges at night. Just waiting for some crap weather that we can't get outside in, to give us time to target them.
Up the creek further towards to Tallebudgera connection rd the creek looks good for some jacks.
The locations Chris suggested are your best bet for flattys.

There are a few about. My oldman nailed this little critter this evening. After a few pics it was released.

change to the qn. after breaking my arm i am now stranded to the bank as taking boat would be difficult. will most likely just use bait now as casting will be difficult throwing plastics. what areas are worth a cast from on shore using mainly bait?
cheers Luke
