    Top end of Baffle Creek?

I'm going up to Baffle for 5 days in mid December. We'll be targetting Jacks etc... I've fished the bottom section up to Bottle Creek, but don't know much about the top section above the ferry crossing.

    Any help appreciated

Yep bring spare prop,as just past the ferry crossing heading up on your right, on the corner is a nice pile of rock and its narrow to get in at low tide,I have only fish the dogs leg up a bit further and yep theres more rocks to find up that way.

Now up to the left up baffle creek I found following the mangroves to the left the go for me but still shit myself a few times, there are boulders spread all over, but a little way up you should see a huge rock bar that is shallow and seems to cross the creek a fair way,I found once I got past the section it becomes a lot better and safer, just do not get caught the other side as the tide drops.

Alls I did was just go at a fast idle until I could see turbulance then investergate to get a bigger picture, its a place were boaties only fish one part of this area because of its danger,so they only travel and fish the safe part and there is a lot of rock bars before you get to the ferry crossing as well, you will take a day or to to sort you self out ,look at spots at day so you can fish it at night a lot safer, good luck

lots of rock bars up the top,
i fish it at least 2 days a week and know the area proubly better than most,my best suggestion would be to put in at low tide and just take your time and have a good look around the systems.
when first working the place out around 5 years ago i went through 6 props and broke the skeg 2 times in the first summer.(bloody good fishing them days, and well worth the expence)

where are you staying mate,Camp stay?

Nice fish. What techniques do you find the most effective on the jacks up there, casting, trolling? We'll be using lures and livies. What sort of lures?

    Lures - Lures - Lures
DK's gold snagmasters and Gold Tilson Barras also the tillson in the fingerling !! casting is the go for this system altough there is a couple of good trolling runs if that's your thing.

Camp stay is a great place head out the small creek at the camp turn left and start pepering the snags
