    Rainbow Channel

I'ts been a long time since I have been for a run in Rainbow Channel. It appears to me that it has changed a lot in the last 3 years.Has anyone noticed that some of the nav markers seem to be way off the mark,or is it me.I found that the nav markers out from Amity Point were the worse.I noticed that most boats were keeping well to the left of the red marker out from Amity heading south.Keeping on the course that I made on my G.P.S. C Map two and half years ago puts this red and another green just south of there way off course.I went south on high tide yesterday consistently in between 7and 10 mtrs up to 49mtrs out from Amity following the same course going north on near low tide it was down to 2 mtres and still a couple of hours to go.May be I made the mistake but Im heading that way again before day break to fish off shore lucky that I had the trial run yesterday.

Don't know about the Rainbow channel. But Rous channel heading in from the bar, there are three green beacons at Toad bank. Make sure you take a wide run between the second and third beacon heading into the bay. The beacons need to be moved about 15 - 20m south.

Keep well clear of the green marker before you reach the myora light heading south at low tide.......came to a sudden halt two weeks back. ......lucky it was sand and not rocky bottom structure!!!
I guess its an endless task moving all the markers around the bay so be careful folks.
    Cheers Brent
