Cabbage Tree Creek - Sandgate Qld

Does anyone have any experience fishing in Cabbage Tree Creek / Nundah Creek - Sandgate? I haven't put the boat into the water there before and just want to know if there is anything to watch out for.

    Thanks in advance.

    ROCKS ROCKS ROCKS !!!!!

There is a mass of rocks around the mouth of Nundah Creek, low tide is deadly !!!!

High tide is fine, maybe even half tide up you shouldn't have too many problems.

On the other hand Cabbage Tree is fairly clean and rock free, except if your Cast netting, there is the odd mystery snag in some places ??? ???

    Cheers mate,

    Craigie.

Thanks cragie.. good to get the advice before I start hitting rocks. Good thing is that it seems to be a 4 knot zone so and hits shouldn't do too much damage to the tinnie.

I've heard that Cabbage Tree Ck is the pick of the two for fishing. Any thoughts on this?

Whilst flicking placcies at Nudgee Creek on Saturday for a few flatties, we saw a guy with his dillies in, and every one he pulled up had sandies in them He had them out right in the middle of the channel though
