I have been told that green weed can be found growing in the hinterland on the steeper hills.

A good dose of rain usually kills green weed.
Berly is simple.
Cut up a heap of weed or cabbage, depending on what you are using & mix it with wet sand. Throw in a hand full every now & then. The sand helps the weed / cabbage sink.
Weed is hard to come by up here, so exact locations won't be all that forth comming.
Check in the usual places such as drains & ends of canals etc.
A lot of luderick fishermen use the black weed found in the irrigations drains of the sugar cane farms. Down near Murwillumbah is where my oldman was getting some from.
Cabbage can be picked from many of the numerous rocky out crops between Snapper rocks & Nobbys on the low tide.
Heath that wasn't the type of weed I was talking about.

you can find cabbage weed on the underside of floating bouys,it's all about keeping your eyes peeled when you are on the water,only take what you need and don't be greedy and don't tell anybody

Any one in particular, I wouldn't think that there would many mooring bouys on the Gold Coast
