    Re: Fihsing Charter

hrmmmm charter.......... hard to make that call. i would have said mooloolaba reef and game charters (crusaders) but shorty no longer owns the buisness so i am not to sure on how they are going these days. they still have most of the same deckies and skippers so it would be my call. other than that try and get in contact with bruce cooper. he has a big cat and i think he foes by the name of "adventure fish" he is one of the best fishos around here when it comes to snapper fishing.

pm me when your heading up matt and if i head out fishing i should be able to make room for ya (if you dont mind fishing in a tinney).

    Re: Fishing Charter

Mattman, I don't know if the change of ownership has something to do with it, or if I went out on an unlucky day.

I went on a MR&G charter a couple of weeks ago and it was a complete waste of time & money. We had a booking for a full day trip which was blown out twice, then got a call from them asking if we were still interested. We said we were, but when we turned up on the day, we found we were booked on a half day trip. We spent two hours going out, one hour running around looking at the sounder, and about one hour with lines actually in the water.
Not a single decent fish was caught.
When they found a school of squire which were mostly undersize, but with a few keepers amongst them, they kept running back over the same spot - probably because the punters were getting a few bites and bringing up a few fish even though most had to be returned.

As I said earlier, I may have just struck a bad day, but I was not impressed by the change of booking, or the targeting of small fish, so there is no way I'll be going out with them again.
    Once bitten, twice shy!!!

    Cheers, DeeGee

Noosa Blue water charters, Cougar I & II.

Contact Tony or Sandra Webber on Ph 5449 9355.

Great boats, Great crew and everytime we have been out a great day with plenty of fish.

We book the boat out for 12 people on a full day charter, cost around $145 each.

Fish at either Barwon banks (hards) or off double Island.

Probably better off waiting until it cools down a bit if you want to catch some quality bottom fish.

I have been on a few charters and these guys are the only ones I would recommend they actually anchor up and fish!
On all trips I have been on we have not moved more than two or three times maximum and we have always been supplied plenty of action.
They also flish two or three floaters out the back while you are bottom bashing and the crew takes turns on them.

And as most people know the bigger fish are usually caught on the floaters so get in early if you can!

Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.

Without a doubt you can not go past Noosa Blue Water Charters. Have fished with them for years and have always had the best time. Never been disappointed. There boats and gear are first class as is there bait. i wouldn't even consider going out with anyone else.

    Cheers,

    Jamie

    Book well in advance mate.

They can sometimes be booked up for months especially on weekends!

It will be worth the wait!

    Re: Fishing Charter

I'd have to agree with Noosa Blue Water. I went on one dwon the coast a whiile back and it was terrible. I think the deckie was too hungover to pay attention to what was going on.
