Its great to see a forum with a topic worth talking about heh
I dont have a boat, but was wondering if anyone could give me any ideas to go fishing...some ppl have told me botany bay, but botany bay's a big place heh
any places u guys can suggest i'd appreciate heaps!
when i used to live in sydney i used to fish a few places but one of my fav was lar porus(think thats the spelling) just fishing from all the rock platforms there i know you get some good fish there and the perve ain't half bad ether
apart from that you have tom uglys bridge (there is a car pack on ether side under the bridge) you get jewies from there
there is really a thousand spots to fish but the best way is just to go for a drive with your rods and some bait and try off the jetties and rocks and shore line and belive me the waters around sydney are not as dead as lot of people belive i have no dout that if your after a feed you will easyly get one from fishing the sydney shore lines
i agree with basserman there are hundreds of places around sydney to get a feed or just have a bit of fun...any of the beaches can produce a feed but narrabeen has aa reputation for jew bream and flatties...not to mention whiting... but most of the bridges on the georges river will produce jew at certain times of the year...a ood mate of my dads fishes around them exclusivly with soft plastics and gets some good catches of jew...anything from legal size upto 50+Lb so there is a good proposition...then agaian up in the freshwater you have bass so in just a couple of words.....if there is water have a go!!!
