    Mooloolabah - wrecks

    Hi, guys - (new member)

Does anybody know the gps co-ordinates for the Bongaree (fishing boat wreck). Apparently it went down in apprx 40m of water, and what about the tiger kelly (also a fishing boat wreck), it went down in 60m of water. My sources say it went down in 105m of water.
Both are apparently out from Mooloolabah.

Can anybody help me, or tell me where I could this sort of information.

    Re: Mooloolabah - wrecks

all I can tell ya, is the Tiger Kelly went down in 100-105mtrs.

most of the time ( like 99% ) you can't fish it cause of the current.

The Tiger is on the Southern end of the Barwons somewhere

    Re: Mooloolabah - wrecks

    Hey Trevcob!
I'm in the same boat as Bluefin525 (so to speak! lol )
I'm a sunshine coast boating newbie aswell (although I grew up there & my folks still live up there) but have only recently bought a 5.4m fibreglass rig and am looking to do a heap of fishing on the sunny coast over the winter months, seeing that's where my baby is currently stored. Would love to tag along with you blokes one day/night and am happy to hook up for a beer and share the few cps marks I have so far.

    Cheers and Beers,
    Herby

    Re: Mooloolabah - wrecks

    Bluefin,
Sounds good. I'll send you a PM as well.
Sounds like a nice rig you have there, I actually looked at the BF Bowrider when I first started out but then my interest in Bowriders wained and I wanted a cabin for o/night trips.
Ended up with a 5.4m Coxcraft Rum Runner II, 130hp Yammie, colour chart plotter & fishfinder, live bait tank, TV, toilet, freshwater shower/tap, DVD player, CD/radio, VHF, fridge, metho stove ..... don't ask why and how, it's a long story! 8)
Anyway, also very keen to do some reef fishing so we should have a beer and exchange info sometime soon. Where abouts are you mate?
    Herby
