Hervey bay / Susan river area

G'day Fellow fisherfolk,
I live in Brisbane but get up to the River heads area near Hervey bay regularly. We get the tinny out near where the barge goes to Fraser Island, but results are pretty crappy.
We've fished the deep holes near the rocks, drifted on the shallows, used live yabbies pumped at low tide, but still we don't catch much
Any ideas / suggestions appreciated

Previous posts here have good info. But I would suggest heading over to Fraser and sth. Down around Ungowa, Deep Creek etc.

Heading further North can be worth a try too - I mainly launch at Boat Harbour and bottom bash near Little Woody and up to Moon Ledge - give me a yell if you're ever heading up and I'll give more details if you like.

There is some good fishing at River Heads, mainly I head down there to have fun throwing prawnstars at the Flathead, or chasing Barra and Salmon when they're on.

Going up mid July, bit busy at the mo
I have seen some huge holes on the sounder out from the ramp at River heads end of town but despite good effort caught bugger all!
Planning to hit the Island next time though, should do alright there!
