going to fish the passage for the first time this weekend, and was wondering if anyone was keen on passing on any info that may lead to a successful fishing trip. am camping on bribie island sat night and have a tinny, would like to target some mangrove jack & jew. and info would be awesome.
Very private crew that lot on Bribie. If your chasing whiting, hit the red buoy in deception bay or the cockle banks. See the fat man at the ramp and he will guide you in the right direction
im fishin tomoz morning in ningi creek or maybe glasshouse mountain creek, these are two great little creeks for bream, flathead, whitting, and some suprise catches of jacks and cod. well be fishin them from canoe with plastics and maybe some live prawns and yabbies that we rustle up. i dont hear to much of jew being caught in the passage, maybe in years gone past, but id imagine the bridge is a good place to look with a live mullet or a deeply worked plastic in a shad style, good luck anyway.
