Golden power
I am heading north in a few weeks and want to target Golden Trevally on soft plastics and poppers. I hope to find them feeding over the sand flats on the last of the incoming tide. Could any one give me a few tips on:
* Polaroid sunglasses. Best brands, cheep alternatives.
* soft plastic technics lure and jig size. Retrieval rates and styles.
* Over what types of sand flats to they hunt? What are they eating?
* Can I catch bone fish on lures? (I can't afford a new fly reel and my old one is a cheep graphite jobby that wont cut the mustard.)
Any other tips or tricks would be helpful.
Thanks

Check out Bomber report about Golden Trevally in Hervey Bay.

Paul Dolan seem to have the Golden Trevally on Fly and soft plastics wired in Hervey Bay. It may be worth your while to spend a day with him.
I prefer the incoming tide for Goldens. Summer is better for the flats too.
Bonefish are pretty rare, but with your fly in the water, you're in with a chance.
