    55kg Cobia

    Just read the local Bayside Bulletin and a photo on the third page of a 55kg Cobia caught by Bob Kozien just out from the Southport Seaway.According to the newspaper it is only just short of a world record of 61kg. The gear used was a Shimano TR200G and the rod was a 6ft Ugly Stick and 30lb braid.

    omigoodness!!!

    Makes my 11 Kg best cobia look a bit inadequate. Mine bent a 3/0 big red hook to almost 90 degrees.

    my deckie from last trip thought he saw thunderbird coming in the wide bar last w/end do you go out. shame about the wind this w/end, need to get some more of those reds. lee
