    Re: trailer lights

Thank you for the lead. I don't think that $160 is all that expencive when you consider the piece of mind it would bring
how many times have you checked your lights before you left only to discover that one blinker etc has blown before you get there. Recently the dot has had a trailer blitz in qld not that I ve been caught but I 'd say thats only luck . Even the you buut lights from bla ( with bulbs ) won't stand dirt roads.

    thanks again

Try a chandlery shop or boat dealer.

    Re: trailer lights

if you get some,I bought the ones from super cheap they were balck casing in colour and they corroded on me in about 3 weeks but must be ok for fresh water. So i went and bought a set from BLA they are white and totally submersible and they are round .....no probs now

    Re: trailer lights

there are lots of submersilbe trailer lights, its not submersion that the problem its vibration.

Bla submers-alite 214004 ( festoons)won't handle vibration nor 214043 even though it has bulbs .

I have located leds locally made by hella they are expensive I don't believe they would be the only suppplers

Steadfast Marine have a new range of LED trailer lights available. Have a 2 year warrenty and priced at $120.00 a set. Here's a contact no. (02) 9973 2666
Haven't seen these lights for myself yet, just read about them in a mag, but might be worth a call.

    Re: trailer lights

Old trick, but we put elastic bands around the festoons! Holds together ok, and we go along dirt roads pretty regularly (just try the bruce highway at the moment!) lol

    Re: trailer lights

Ken, saw some that looked good at the boat show today. Didn't pay too m,uch attention, cos I'm not in the market for them, but from memory they were in the low $100's. Sorry, can't remember which stand - but if you're goign (or have been) you'll spot them.

    Cheers,

    lawry
