Catching live bait in maroochy river where???

Does anyone know here where you can get herring in the maroochy river???

Yep.
Off that walk bridge that goes over to Goat Island , (I think that is what it is called) , near Swan boat hire. Anywhere there or off the Island on the still water side.

Maybe worth a try opposite goat island,on the northern side of river at the pipe(entrance to twin waters) It holds plenty of bait fish

might be better off calling it Chambers Island too..

Goat Island is closer towards the mouth and is on the left side, theres a small creek that runs through it and thats why there is actually 2 islands there.. Goat Island, and Channel Island which is closer to the Units and Highrises

seahunt.. i think you mean to chambers island.. and yeah it is a pretty good spot. just about any where along the foreshore there around the mouth is pretty good. best place is near the bridge at the entrance to "maroochy waters". just near chambers island.

cast net is a much better way mate. bait jigs CAN work.. but also have a tendancy to fail as well.
