    Fishing Noosa

    Hi all,

    I'm heading up to Peregian Beach, just south of Noosa, for a couple of weeks holiday in January.

    My main aim is to catch a mangrove jack on lures.

    I enjoy exploring little creeks and backwaters from my kayak and was wondering is there any creeks or areas around there where I could target some Jacks.

    I'm not after specific locations just general areas where I can slip in the kayak and go for a paddle and hopefully pick up a jack.

    And also what type/colour lures would anyone recommend

    If I had a kayak, I would put in at Lake Cootharaba and fish the stretch between it and Cooroibah (is that the other one)??

    Has anyone ever put their tinnie in the same area?? Say a 4m one?
