Need some help on Gold Coast fishing.

Hello Ausfishers... I have friends in the Gold Coast area that I will be visiting this summer... I live in California. Would like to get an idea of your fishery in the Gold Coast area. Species, seasons etc. Here in San Francisco, we have a great Salmon fishery, we've caught King Salmon on my boat up to 25 Kg... that's a big one. We also catch albacore and bluefin here during our summer months (your winter). Ideally, I'd like to find someone who would like to swap out fishing trips with me. I have a 10 meter Hatteras Convertible with flybridge, cockpit, galley, bunks etc, and all the electronics. Quite comfortable for a long tuna trip. Anyone help me out on this?

    G'day Tom
Please don't think we a slack bunch of fisho's down under and not replying to your post mate but the truth is that with a few exceptions I think most of the guys here on this board are predominantly small boat fishers . By that I mean using trailer boats mainly under 20 feet in length . There are some guys into game fishing in bigger boats more in your league however who may see your post and take up the offer . Either way it's a great place to visit anyway .

I thought the reason I had a small boat and light gear was the thrill of boating a 100kg sailfish with 2kg drag and an 8foot tinnie
