gold coast squid

recently moved to qld, and want to catch some squid. i have caught them a lot back in SA but wouldnt know where to start up here,
Where abouts on the gold coast hold squid?
any ideas appreciated

In the seaway near Labrador there are heaps of weedbeds that are worth a try. Other than that, try the many bridges of a night.

The walls around Bayview Harbour hold squid at night (under the lights) - you can usually see the ink stains on the walls. Security guards patrol the harbour walls regularly but don't seem to give you any trouble - not sure if you can walk on the walls if you don't live there though?
