    BRIBIE SHARKS?

This is my first go at this i'm new to ausfish. Can anyone tell me where you can catch sharks from the shore at Bribie. My friend wants to have a go at catching them so I thought I might be able to find out for him.
    Thanks Jay

    Re: BRIBIE SHARKS?

If you watch the evening news and Current Affair etc there is a plague of sharks roaming the coast eating all and sundry.

It is the silly season in the press but sharks are out there try the jetty at night the channel if you have a boat or the canals. Dawn or Dusk along the beach depending on your fishing method preference.

Let us know how you go, How big a shark do you want?

    cheers Doug

Just saw your age young grasshopper take care and take an adult.

To become old and wise you have to first be young and stupid but you have to survive too!

You are going to need some pretty serious gear to handle a shark of that size and a lot of stamina.

Remember that you only get one set of fingers too! Have a look at what happened yesterday in South Australia, Sharks fight back.

Seriously Ask you parents if to go with you and Good luck.

    Re: BRIBIE SHARKS?

    hey jay
    how ya goin .
i dont know if the bull sharks would be in the canal's you live on because of the lock ???.i would imagine over the years a few must have gotten in there at high tide prolly squeezed in threw the mesh as little ones and now are big ones .
i know there are plenty of them in pacific harbor canal.you can often see them scaring the life out of the poddy mullet just on sunset.the main canal there also has a public pontoon on it but im not sure if your allowed to fish on it.
now is definatley the best time of year to start fishing for them so good luck.
    cheers scott

Hey Col S good to hear it just had me a bit worried

I know I used to tell my kids if they wanted to go shark fishing just swim out holding the hook for me! Now they are both bigger than I am and are constantly planning revenge!

Keep taking him fishing, spending time with your kids is the most important thing ( even if you are evil and nasty to them )
