NSW Fishing permits........???????
Hi all,
I was down on the Tweed coast region a week ago to do some fishing so did the right thing and grabbed a 3 day permit from a service station. To my suprise it was double the cost for a permit to fish both eastury and beach and half to fish eastury only #???
Same time last year in Iluka I can't remember being asked if I wanted to fish eastury/beach or just eastury.
Is this so or was I taken for a ride to purchase a permit for both beach/eastury at twice the cost of eastury only ?? #
Damo
Ps: Got didly squat in both the Tweed River and of Fingal.

Re: NSW Fishing permits........???????
License fees are:
$5 for 3 days
$10 per month etc etc etc
But there is a provision for fishing the Tweed River.
Quote "A 50% concession applies to people who only fish in the tidal waters of the Tweed River and prescibed adjacent beach areas. The Tweed Concession Area is a transitional arrangement pending Queenslands introduction of an equivalent licensing sceme." (NSW Fisheries, 2003-2004. Saltwater Fishing Guide, p.6)
http://www.fisheries.nsw.gov.au/lol/tweed.htm (not where quote came from)
So I think you can figure it out from there.
Interesting thing about that quote is the understanding by NSW Fisheries that Queenland looks more than likely to introduce a licensing scheme at some time. That should be interesting to here about from you guys when it happens
