    Nippers

Hi all, this probably sounds pretty stupid, but I went fishing a couple of weeks ago taking my brand new nipper pump planning to pump for half an hour so I could catch the last two hours of the run-in tide. There I was ready to pump, and suddenly I realise that there's soldier crab holes mixed in with the nipper holes and I can't tell the difference between the two!!
Ended up getting some bait from the bait shop and using that but how the heck do you tell the difference between soldier crab holes and nipper (yabbby) holes ??? ???

    cheers,
    Sean.

Active yabby holes will generally have a little sloping mound of sand around them. I wouldn't be too fussed - both are good bait for whiting etc.

Both are great bait, so I wouldnt be too worried about what comes out, after all, fresh bait is best

I have found that Yabby holes generally are the ones where there are 2 small holes together...
    just one more cast........
