Brisbane SFC 'interclub' comp March 4-6

it's that time of year again. The Brisbane Sportfishing Club holds our annual 'interclub' comp at Bribie Island from the 4-6 March. Competitors must be members of ANSA and use munufacturer's pretested mono lines only - line classes of 1 - 10 kg. Now try catching your mack tuna on 1 kg line

If you are not a member of an ANSA club, you can either join one - Brisbane SFC or another club closer to you - see www.ansaqld.com.au. Alternatively, you can join as a temporary member of ANSA for a week for $10. This is required for insurance reasons.

Comp entry costs $20 or $25 including accomodation at the comp venue for the weekend.

Comp rules allow only 5 fish to be weighed, only one of each species. Person who catches the most species (up to 5) wins, Or if several people catch 5 species, overall winners are calculated on points (weight of fish divided by line class).

There are 17 categories in which you can win prizes and we have had heaps of great prizes donated by our sponsors.

If anyone wants more info, PM me your email address and I can send you a copy of the full rules.

    Cheers,

    Jeremy

Re: Brisbane SFC 'interclub' comp March 4-6

The 'Interclub' bit means the other local ANSA clubs such as Kingaroy, Bribie, North Brisbane, South Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast have been invited and usually each have a few of their members fishing the comp in an effort to be the overall club champion - highest scoring three anglers. Brisbane Club has won our own comp (and Bribie's interclub) for the last two years at least, but I am told there will be a challenge this year.....
