Hi Guys
Where is white patch on the Pumicestone passage. I have tried fishinh just the Bribie side of the bridge and had no luck. I have no boat and I am new to Qld. any suggestions wher I can fish and where I would go if I wanted to fish of the bank or rocks? Also, what is the best bait to use?
Thanks
I haven't been to Bribie for about 20 years but back then the old Bongaree jetty was a haunt of mine. Always bream, whiting and flathead but the most prominent life I remember was the great big blue jellyfish everywhere. Oh and when the tailor are in South Woorim would just go off!
Ah, Bribie what a shame to have to move from there to the fishing paradise of NQ.
Any fishing is good fishing (should probably say Any fishing is...probably going to be illegal soon)
Going up on the weekend in the boat never had much luck before.Anyone got any spots where i could get a few nice fish.
Thanks ???
All you flash guys with the boats eh?
I am looking for anywhere to fish off the bank or rocks and nobody seems to know any good spots near a beach so i can drop the missus off there while i fish- needs to be within an hour or so of Brisbane- any suggestions?
Bribie is a great area to fish before I had my boat I used to walk the beach and fish the gutters, also fished up around whitepatch and also the Banksia beach are all ares clearly marked and easy to find I still fish Bribie extensively now in my boat but there are still plenty of fish to be had land based find the best tide first 2 hours of the run out and then the first 3 hours of the run in, species caught have been mainly bread and butter species such as Bream Flathead and whiting have had the odd Jack encounter fron time to time as well.

Mate at Bribie if you don't want to go too far - flick a few soft plastics under and around the Bribie Bridge - a few lizards a maybe a few trevvs and a bream. Only thing about Bribie is when the seaweed is around - just annoying when you try to get the lures working. Pike in the southern most canal entrance if your so inclined but it does get a bit monotinous

Chris
Thanks Guys, I will give it a go.
The SE winds should mean some whiting down the bottom end of the island.
If the netters haven't been through.
Went to bribie on sunday didnt get much.We got about 15 fish 2 keepers mostly bream a few mowses perch 18 crabs with only 3 keepers. Was a bad day for it wind was blowing and got soaked in the little tinny, but didnt have any thing else to do. I'll get shot for telling you this spot but. Put the boat in at the newer Toorbull ramp, head north east. Go at low tide and over near the Bribie side youll see a pile of rocks. Fish the incoming and either early or late the sun is your enemy. You may be pleasantly suprised
