    A soft plastic to imitate a small Sand Whiting ?

    Can anyone recommend a type of soft plastic that will imitate a small sand whiting ? Want to use it on flathead

    Mitch forget about trying to imitate sand whiting, just get yourself a packet of 5" fat grubs, 4" atomic shads, or 100mm squidgy fish. All of those in certain colours will do the trick on a big flatty.

    The colours that work for me on flatties are pink and Jelly prawn (colour is the same as triple filtered bundy rum).

    The saltwater assasin's are the closest thing i've seen to imitatin a small whiting, you just need to get them to turn and flick around a bit and they give nice white flashes like small whiting do as the scoot away.

    The new Berkley glass minnows are a pretty good imitation of a whiting.
    But as JB said, it doesn't really need to look like a whiting to snag a flatty.

    berkley dropshots in 3" or 4" watermelon pearl
    cant go wrong
