Local location nicknames

When i read a number of the local fishing magazines I come across a lot of nicknames for fishing locations. Unfortunately if you have no idea of where they are talking about the info is useless. Does anyone have a local mudmap with these "Nickname" locations. Or it might be a good idea for one of the local mags to do a bit of a map for these places so newcomers have some sort of idea where they refer to.

The Beacon to Beacon has some of the more popular spots marked. Example -the W's or Blue Hole- in Pumicestone Passage.

-Edit- I assume if a fishing mag uses a nickname, then it's usually common local knowledge. Ask a tacklestore.

hehe I dont know too many either but can someone tell me where the hell is "Spot X" ? Seems everyone fishes there except me and its not marked on any charts

spot x is right next to the 50foot hole (yep every place has a spot called that!)

I have a G-Spot... (Now get your mind out of the gutter... The guy who gave me the spot was Gerry, and I already had a spot X).

I was looking int he paper yesterday, there is a fella who says he caught thes two Jacks (3 and 2.5kg) in "The Cod Hole"... I dont think he's being very honest. I think anyone who catches a fish in Maroochy River claims it came from the Cod Hole.
