STH SANDY STRAIGHTS

Am heading up to Inskip at Easter (Mon B4). Am towing up two boats at this stage ( both 5.3), and am hoping to get out off D.I have a few marks for some close ones that have always fished well b4, for my standard anyway. My problem is that wife and kids are coming up on Thrusday and will not come outside. Can anyone help me with some good spots in the straights. I have fished the straights before but not to sucessfull and now that the kids are a little better in the boat would like to find some better spots. Have heard that there are some reef patches down the southern end could anyone help me out with any advise or marks inside or outside. ANY help would be much appreciated. Thanks

i just came back from four nights on a house boat with the tinnies. we fished inside fraser up to ungowa, but thats a fair hike up, 25k i think. the only decent fish we caught were trevally and that came from near the beached wreck near the white cliffs. there were also mac tuna working up there aswell. sorry can't help anymore but we didn't fish well at all.

Remember you saying that you are going up as well. What day you coming? Do you do any offshore while up there, or just in the straights. Looks as thu we'll be the only Ausfisho's up there hey. Least we may have a chance of some fish if it's only us. Am really starting to look forward to a few day away, just hope the weather gods are nice. Anyway talk soon

hey brejan i live at hervey bay have fished the sandy straits this week not much goin on except for the top side of big woody nice mackys fished down to the white cliffs not much goin down that way wish you luck and have a good easter with your kids and misses

Am looking forward to getting up there. Whats the weather been like?Hva ethere been any muddies around? Not to worried about to big a run so will be looking up that way.
