St Bees or Wigton Island (Mackay) spots ?
Hi Guys,
Just moved to mackay and have the opportunity to go out to one or both of these islands if the weather is alright this weekend.
Is anyone able to give me some pointers for fishing around these islands or maybe even some waypoints ?
Also, anyone got many crays around here. I have been diving for crays befoer but could be somethin different to do.

try the eastern side of hesket rock sout east of st bees. st bees does produce some good fish but not in huge numbers. if you get the chance try the smith group.

thanks,
Didn't end up going out anyway, the wind picked up a bit and the forecast for sunday didn't look too good either. We were going to stay overnight at wigton.
Did get some nice small mouth nannygai and some undersize sweetlip at the 4 mile though. only went out for a few hours..
