I grew up in Sydney and fished places like the Parra weir (behind the old David Jones building), Cremorne Point (off the rocks near the beacon) Manly Pier, Circular Quay, Lady Macquaries Chair (opposite Garden Island Naval Base), Georges River near Bankstown Airport as well as the Prospect Resevoir and the Nepean river.
Realistically there are plenty of freshy spots out your way but if you are totally chasing salt then you need to do as gunna suggested. Don't know if you can still fish there but we used to fish the Prospect Resevoir as well as the Nepean River at Penrith (between Penrith & Emu Plains under the old railway bridge.
Look in the UBD and you will find.....If there's water there are usually fish of some sort......
Good luck Lesta, let us know how you go......
