I wish, last year was our first, and am sorry to hear the comps not on this year due to pub renovations, will probly head over to straddie for that week though, its a good time of year over there. i may have bumped into you though,we knock around with a few fellas who have been fishing in the comp since it began

Yeah I will be over there again in August even though it's not on, need practice for 2006
and heading over for a coupla of weeks on thursday to practice for August . Really can't get enough of that place.

Yes I was fishing the beach last year, I missed the first 4 or 5 years of the classic but haven't missed one since.
I think yours might have been 760gm? maybe? from memory the three heaviest were between 800 and 816gm
Think it was the last or second last day that northerly forced em to take down the VB can I can imagine how hard it would have been trying to weigh fish with it.

could have been, cant quite remmber. thought 1st was around the 900 g mark, was a while back now cant reload my memory, must be getting old huh? anyway, i though it would have gone heavier but angela was happy with the daily for her first comp.

Im very landrover biased, they are with out a doubt the best beach vechicle you can buy. chances are once you've got one you'll keep it forever. just got to point in the direction you want to go and it will drive over anything!!

Heres the fillets, approx 16 Kg. filled a good part of a large warick bin.
we have a very large family so every relative has a good feed of fish once per month.

I normally cryovac some tailor and dart fillets and keepem in the fridge to use as flesh baits in the next comp. cryovaced they last for 6 months in the fridge and 2 yrs in the freezer. the tailor fillets stay perfect.
