whiting/ Bream/ Dart from Double Island
seems to be a few nice whiting and bream floating around up the beach at the moment, weed isnt hampering fishing. plenty of gutters and drains to choose from with most holding fish.

The whiting seem to love that shallow back bank, they were caught using cured beach worms that we pulled on our last session. once that tide started making for a few hours the bigger dart moved in and we managed a good feed with fish around the 450 -500 g mark. once around the half tide mark, we started to target bream and tarwhine in another section of that same gutter. we could only manage bream. still wasn't a bad mixed bag. for an arvo session

Hi Surf_Sniper,
Nice going. Reports I had were that the Cooloolah Coast is very busy at the moment. Is fishing affected by the vehicular taffic? I have heard it is very, very busy on the beach from Noosa to Double Is Pt.

Re: whiting/ Bream/ Dart from Double Island
Hi steve, easter week is always a shocker, but the campers always seem to die off quickly after those public holidays. during the day you will get the usual day tripers but in the afternoon every one heads home and the beach becomes very quite. ive been up there during the week and have been the only car on the beach. some nights ( most ) my car is the only light i can see on the beach.
I personaly dont see the traffic having an effect on the fishing, perhaps at night when people shine there lights in the water but not during the day. if you fish the bottom end of the beach ( noosa north shore ) right of the acess ramps, you dont get a lot of the traffic and there is some great areas to fish when the time is right.
Drew.
