The creeks like Big and Little Tuan, Poona and Kauri have all been firing on the bigger tides. We were up at Tinnanbar at Easter time and there were fish and crabs a plenty. There is still plenty of Jacks in the creeks along with some good sized tailor and reasonable sized bream in these systems. The bigger tides also bring a lot of bait into these systems too. Visit all of the creeks if the wind allows and I think from Boonooroo down to Kauri creeks is about 40 minutes by boat. Beware of a couple of things though. Sandflies are thick and the creeks are a half tide up proposition, apart from Kauri and Tuan which you can get in and out of on nearly all tides. My tip is to launch and retrive from the Tuan ramp rather than the Boonooroo one. It is only a couple of minutes away.

I'll be up that way too over the same weekend. Over easter there were tailor getting into the bait fish, a few mackerel, flaties cod etc. Heaps of runs and bust ups in close to mangroves around the Moon Booms. With the tides just put a little thought into it. I can usually get in or out 1 hour either side of the tides.
    Good Luck.
