Jees you guys are tough - it is hardly a secret where the Neilsen lies. 8)

S27 11.250 E153 19.960 should get you near - just sound around as there are some other interesting structures around that area

The hard part would actually trying to get near it on the weekends to drop a line

If you want to go there, book your spot early. It's a long run up there only to find another boat already on it.

    Re: Captain Neilson location

Apparently it is just a wheelhouse. The rest of the ship was salvaged.

Dived on it a while back, not much left. The rises around it a pretty barron and mostly sand, but the bait fish are there in big numbers, so the predators are always nearby...foxy

    Re: Captain Neilson location

exact location in Datum #WGS84 is

27.11.130 # #153.20.023 it is in 35 to 37ft of water surrounded by sand.

There is parts of the wheel house, some railings and scatterings.

Best to jig ya livies at that spot then park yaself up to 200mtrs from it and float ya baits out.

If you do not have a fish in 1 hr, go to Tangas and have a beer.
