The bar has changed a bit since these aerial photos were tacken but the 3d stuff of the canyons and seamounts are mind blowing.

How Breaksea spit was.

And how it was working a couple of weeks ago.

The sand island is now gone and the 4 mile is north of where the sand island used to be. Late 90s it was up there as well. You can really see the old 4 mile was the pick of spots to cross.

I am guessing Rob Mackmauler took the silver option when he went through last summer. We took one about 800m out and we had another boat take one slightly better about 400m from the Cape. Damon Olsen used one half way up to the 4 mile.

I am not advocating anyone take these options but in dead calm weather they might be worth looking at. Stick to 13 mile crossing in most instances as sometimes the 4 mile is touch and go as well.

Mate I took the marks off the c-map planner I won at the sailfish shoot out.
Great set up. I'll have a look at those marks you did today.
That's a great 3d image. Imagine the big critters down the sides of those mounds!!

This is fab stuff. just like a seabed chart but in 3D of the Continental Shelf.

Pity they haven't done the whole coastline yet, or have they??
