    livies without cast net

I've booked a week on Hinchinbrook in spring, but since we are flying up there, there is only enough room for rods and tackle, the trusty cast net will have to stay home ???

So what is the best way to get livies up there? should I get a collapsible trap, has anyone used them with sucess and if so what type??

    Thanks Stu

Id find a jetty or something and get a set of bait jigs or 2.
Or small hooks and small pieces of prawn for whiting as livies.

    Yeah, strap it too yourself

Seriously though stash it in a carry bag - you'll be right - I don't know about your shoulder though. Cos as you would know you need them to get your live bait - there is no real compromise is there?

    Cheers
