I think I will save up a bit of $$$ and buy a decent outfit. Thanks for all the help. I am trying to talk my other half into buying a boat. Problem is she gets seasick so my job is a bit harder, lol. I guess the mates boat will have to do for now.
There are some good outfits out there for a reasonable price. I use one of the t curve heavy jigging rods and am very happy with it.Unfortunately the reels are the tough part .I use a saltiga z40 because the dog gears dont seem to last on a few of the other models<but that depends on how much jigging you do and your personal preference.Anyway matey good luck on twisting the missus arm and good fishing
